Detailing

In the project “Detailing”, I turn my gaze to the Old Town of Vilnius, a special artistic space where walls that bear witness to centuries become a canvas for the self-expression of the inhabitants. Like cave paintings, graffiti on the walls of historical buildings turns into a unique artistic and cultural phenomenon that connects the past and the present.

In my project, I raise the question of how this connection affects the historical fabric of the city, as well as explore its role in preserving and renewing cultural heritage. The works invite us to think about new meanings of cave symbols and become an artistic archive in which the past and the present merge and create a special visual narrative.
